Australian Freight Industry Awards – Hyzon Motors

I attended the recent Australian Freight Industry Awards where Hyzon Motors ANZ won the Sustainable Environment Award for their Heavy Rigid vehicle development.
Great to then catch up today with colleague and friend Murray Newton at the Hyzon Motors ANZ fuel cell electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Noble Park, Melbourne.
The company is doing some cutting-edge development with their fuel cell technology for the heavy vehicle industry in Australia and globally.
Hyzon Motors is developing its locally engineered and built Heavy Rigid truck as a global platform, adaptable for international markets, with a multitude of vehicle use cases, such as garbage compactors, tilt trays and flatbed trucks.
More broadly, Hydrogen as a fuel cell input is crucial in the Australian market due to its potential to decarbonise various sectors, including transport (heavy vehicles and trains) and industry. It offers a clean energy solution, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, enhances energy security, and supports Australia’s transition to a sustainable and low-carbon economy.
